About Me

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in private practice, as well as a trained birth and postpartum doula.  For the past 26 years I have worked with families as a La Leche League Leader in the Ottawa area offering peer support for breastfeeding. Since 1998, I’ve also worked in Family Resource Centres (now called Ontario Early Years Centres) teaching parenting workshops, facilitating drop-in programs and helping parents and caregivers find the resources they want.

I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI).  I can show you how your nurturing touch will help your baby sleep better, form a stronger attachment, and cope better with gas, colic and teething pain.

I am a trained facilitator with The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program. I can share songs, rhymes, and fingerplays with you that will bring laughter and joy to your interactions with the baby, while at the same time encouraging language development.

I am the mother of 3 children, ages 24, 27 and 30. They are my first and best teachers.

Parenting is both the most rewarding and most challenging job you’ll ever have. It is my goal to help you have the kind of birth and beginning that’s right for your family.
